Blogging Northeast Ohio since 2004

another blog?!

Yes, I've gone and done it again. I've created yet another blog to write in. The new blog is 'Brad Runs', which is more of a running journal than anything else, as I start to ramp up my training for my next marathon. I created it since I know most of my readers could care less about how many miles I run here and there. But for the one or two of you that do, you're more than welcome to check out the new blog and follow my progress, or lack thereof.

Now that the holiday season is finally over, I realize that the only thing I miss about it is the decrease in rush-hour traffic. It seems like now everyone has finally made it back to work, so my commute this morning was the usual stop-and-stop-and-go that I had so missed over the past 2 weeks. Oh well, I guess that is my motivation to try to keep up a little earlier to try to beat the rush (though that argument carries little weight when debating whether to get up or roll over at 6:30 in the morning).

I finally managed to dust off my Netflix envelopes and watch a movie this weekend. I watched Spielberg's remake of 'War of the Worlds', which I actually enjoyed despite my dislike of star Tom Cruise. I would have liked to have seen the story told on a more macro scale (like the TV & radio reports seen in 'Signs') instead of just following around Cruise's character and his children.
I feel like the story loses some of it's impact if you just look at a tiny sliver of the bigger picture. But the idea behind the movie was good and Spielberg pulled it off pretty well, though the ending was super weak. I hate it when a bad ending ruins or almost ruins a movie for me. Worth a rental in my opinion.

“another blog?!”
